Saturday Morning Winter Hike
Saturday, February 23, 2019
Join us for a Saturday Morning Winter Hike AND stop by the store afterwards for hot chocolate, coffee, or tea. We want to encourage you to get out, AND we want to get outside with you!
We will be hiking on these local hiking trails in our wonderful local parks. These hikes are not guided-trips, so you can hike at your own pace; route range from 1.3 miles to 2.9; and require between 45 and 90 minutes to complete.
Each participant is responsible for all of their own personal needs. Our staff will gladly assist or answer questions. Please dress for the weather, as inclement weather is possible. Some trails may be muddy and slippery.

ABOUT SUGARCREEK METROPARK:
One of our Five Rivers MetroParks, the 618-acre Sugarcreek MetroPark is filled with a diverse habitat of scenic creeks, rolling hills, dense woods, wildflowers, fields, prairies and wetlands, all conveniently located just south of Centerville/Kettering. You’ll see oak trees estimated to be 550 years old, a tallgrass prairie, woodlands and the scenic Sugar Creek. Although much of Sugarcreek’s 618 acres were once farmland, MetroParks land management practices, and natural processes, have resulted in a variety of habitats supporting diverse wildlife that can be discovered as you hike, horseback ride, run the trails, exercise your pets or enjoy a leisurely picnic.
