The kayaks are back!
It took longer than we thought, but we've completed the refinishing floor project in the paddleshop building and are putting kayaks and accessories back on display. We're making more renovations including expanding the showroom by removing part of a wall. Stay tuned for more exciting changes!

"Get Out" this Winter.
The holidays will soon be over - all the hustle and bustle, the delicious meals, celebrating with family and friends - and now it's time to get off the couch, get outdoors for some fresh air and exercise. We've compiled a list of ideas to do just that. We'd love to hear your ideas as well - just email us!
Take a hike. There are so many great places to hike in the woods in and around the Miami Valley. Enjoy one of the Five Rivers MetroParks - Germantown MetroPark and Taylorsville MetroPark both offer a variety of trails. Hueston Woods or Caesars Creek State Park are nearby with plenty of scenery. And if you don't mind the drive, visit the Hocking Hills area near Athens, Ohio for some awesome winter spendor.
Spend the night outside - Backpack in the Winter.
Take your hiking to the next level. Try backpacking in the winter. With the proper gear and equipment this can be a very rewarding experience. Stop in and we can give you some ideas where you might want to go. Pick up a checklist.
Go Ice Skating. Enjoy skating outdoors at the RiverScape MetroPark rink in downtown Dayton. It's FREE if you have your own pair of ice skates. Or for a small fee you can rent a pair. Click for details.
Go Sledding.
Of course this activity requires some snow. When was the last time you enjoyed a day of sledding? And a cup of hot chocolate afterwards. |
